Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the city centre, making it perfect for exploring all the sights. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was exceptional. However, dining options were a bit limited despite the charming homey cooked meals. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the overall experience.
The hotel is nestled on a quiet street just a stone's throw from the cathedral in a nice area very convenient to the trains as well as the city center. The rooms offer a really first-rate breakfast with a four-poster bed, though there is a narrower bed in addition to regular beds. The dining experience, with huge smiles, is well-served and homey cooked, even catering to the vegan in our group. On a downside, the service did not pass on our personal request, but room service and housekeeping were on point. The hotel boasts an easy walk to the city walls and everything York center has to offer.
The hotel is brilliantly located within walking distance of the city center, making it convenient for exploring York. The rooms are charming, with excellent facilities, but unfortunately, WiFi is not available in the rooms. The service was attentive to our personal requests, but there were some missed opportunities. The dining experience, although not inclusive for vegans, was homely and well-served. The facilities were modern and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.
I couldn't have asked for a better stay at this hotel! It's situated in the perfect area, within walking distance of the city center, and so close to everything that it felt like they rang the Minster bells just for us. The rooms are equipped with excellent facilities and some nice touches, but the lack of WiFi was a downside. The service, on our personal request, was a bit mixed as they did not pass on one request, but the room service, housekeeping, and welcome drink were top-notch.
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience overall. The room had excellent facilities and the breakfast was truly first-rate. However, the bed was a bit narrower than expected. The service was attentive to our personal requests but missed passing on one specific request. The location was superb, being close to York's attractions while nestled in a quiet residential area. The dining was exceptional, catering even to the vegan in our group with homey cooked meals using fresh ingredients. The facility had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of the city centre, on a quiet street but just a stone's throw from the cathedral. The rooms are cozy and offer a four-poster bed on the lower level, in addition to regular beds, accompanied by a top-notch breakfast service. The location is ideal for exploring the major attractions in York, although the service fell short in passing on our personal request. The dining experience is warm and inviting, especially catering well to vegans, and the facilities are well-served and homely, offering fresh farm-to-table products.
